Replaced unsightly ranch-style stair rails with a spindle bannister and elegantly shaped hand rail.

These are the stairs that lead up to our hayloft. The treads were sanded down and the noses were replaced, and the hideous, knackered old carpet that used to cover them was summarily deposited into the council skip. The stairs are now covered in coir with brass stair rods that serve more of the decorative function. I also shaped the handrail ends on a lathe and then butt-mounted them on the hand rail using dowels and screws.
